I logged on and i had one new PM and this is what i got..

Our take on PM's is that we dont moderate them, as the name suggests, we take a private message as a message between the sender and the receiver only, which is why we have the privacy rule that mike pointed out, but this rule refers to a conversation between 2 real members, we can allow a thread alerting us to a bot.

However, occassionally spammers do use PM's to advertise.. bots register at the forums and pick random fields of member numbers to send to (we have the limits on how many PM's you can send to keep this activity to a minimum) but they virtually NEVER send to a staff member and we dont have access to your private messages, not even me or neil, so unless reported to us, we cant act on it.

If you think something like this is happening though and the pm system is being abused, please report it to a member of staff and we will look into it as best we can.

Which is one of the reasons we have such a wonderful community here, imo. The brass doesn't allow things to get too crazy here and while this place is tame compared to other forums there's no place i'd rather be.

It's like the censor being turned off. The censor never really bothered me at all. There are very few instances that I find that I absolutely HAVE to curse in order to get my point across. Anyone with half a brain can articulate what they have to say without cursing. But damn it sure is fun!!!:hyper:
