I really think that's a big part of what makes Dawn of the Dead work for me - the friendship and cameraderie of the main characters; they have their ups and downs but they don't fight and bitch all the time, it makes me really care about their little group and hope that everything turns out okay for them. Most of Romero's other movies tend to focus a lot on disagreements and in-fighting amongst the human protagonists (and deliberately so - that's the point he's trying to make and I'm cool with it), which sort of takes away from the sense of hope that makes Dawn so much fun.
I guess Diary of the Dead tried something similar, but it didn't succeed to the same extent because there were too many characters and several of them were pretty one-dimensional.

Great job Philly, the editing was spot on as has been said it had the look of a and feel of a real sitcom opening.

I really loved that video too great :lol:job. I never thought Golden Girls and dawn of the Dead would go hand in hand.
