Dawn of the dead dames

The new trend for 'slashcoms' featuring female zombies and vampires seems to put women in control. But is the joke really on the witless male protagonists? In any case, Rosamund Witcher is not amused...

In the midst of all this misogyny, it was heartening to hear that Edwin A. Salt, a spy thriller in which Tom Cruise was due to play the hero has been rewritten with a female lead after Angelina Jolie showed an interest. But there are only a handful of actresses in the world that can demand that kind of treatment and Jolie has a proven track record with action roles.

It's always interesting to see where people choose to acknowledge sexism and the behavior that encourages it, and where they choose to ignore it.

It was a good article, though, in my opinion. At least it sparks discussion. Well, maybe it doesn't spark discussion here...:)
