Is there a way to rip DVD to WMV?

try google dude. Just type in DVD to WMV software. I am sure something will show up. :D

try one of the older versions of dvd shrink .

If I was going to do that, I'd have to record the DVD onto my digital camera, then upload the video (AVI) to my computer. Then in my editing software bring in that AVI and then render it out as a WMV. Which is a bit of a round about way of doing things. As far as I'm aware, converting from .vob to .wmv is pretty much not possible ... unless you convert .vob to one other type of file, which can in turn be converted again into .wmv ... but I don't do much of that sort of thing so indeed, google is your best option. Download.com might have some bits of kit, just make sure you read the user reviews of each piece of software you consider downloading.
