Developed by Rockstar San Diego, as a follow up to the 2004 hit game, Red Dead Revolver, Red Dead Redemption is a Western epic, set at the turn of the 20th century when the lawless and chaotic badlands began to give way to the expanding reach of government and the spread of the Industrial Age. The story of former outlaw, John Marston, Red Dead Redemption takes players on a great adventure across the American frontier.

"The team at San Diego have massively exceeded our expectations with the sheer depth of experiences in Red Dead Redemption," said Sam Houser, Founder of Rockstar Games. "The seamless combination of breathtaking beauty and intense action, all woven together with strong plotlines in a massive vibrant, rural environment is mind-blowing. We think this game helps to push the limits of what an open-world gaming experience can be."

Utilizing Rockstar's proprietary Rockstar Advanced Game Engine (RAGE), Red Dead Redemption features an open-world environment for players to explore, including frontier towns, rolling prairies teeming with wildlife, and perilous mountain passes - each packed with an endless flow of varied distractions.

Along the way, players will experience the heat of gunfights and battles, meet a host of unique characters, struggle against the harshness of one of the world's last remaining wildernesses, and ultimately pick their own precarious path through an epic story about the death of the Wild West and the gunslingers that inhabited it.

Red Dead Revolver was pretty good, if a little rough around the edges. Glad to see Rockstar hasn't given up on the franchise.

cant believe people (adult people) play this shit..
dont you feel like an idiot sitting there with a plastic guitar in your hand?
what do you get out of it?..what have you accomplished?

go out and throw the football around with your friends..do some running.
Make a movie..write a sceenplay..
go out and get a piece of ass

or go buy a real guitar, and learn how to play..

id probably buy a lovely guitar hero just to have the pleasure of pulling a Pete Townshend and smash the shit out of it...grow up America:annoyed:

What makes you think people who play videogames don't go out running, write screenplays and get laid every night? Please don't bait people just because you don't agree with their hobbies.

Wow....that's funny that he's telling people to grow up in a post like that. Not to mention the fact that this game has nothing to do with guitar hero or rock band. I guess he saw Rockstar(the company name) and failed to read the rest.

Anyway. Red Dead Revolver was a good bit of fun, so i'll probably pick this up.

Do I smell someone being banned before they even reach their 20th post?

Look, dickhead, I'm sure pretty much everyone here has just an active life as you do... maybe they lead a more active life, I wouldn't know what you do.

I, for one, love playing the Guitar Hero and Rockband games. Does this mean don't know how to do anything else? No. I'm in a REAL band that has toured SEVERAL times (about to embark on another full US tour). Why can't I have fun with video games without people like you flipping out over it (and for no good fucking reason)?

After that burst of anger I'm now realizing that I'm responding to someone that recommends going out and throwing a football or running. Why am I wasting my time on a most certain modern-day neanderthal?
