Cool video, but it seems like it could easily be a fake.

That's what I was thinking as well. Keeping my fingers crossed, though.

If it is real, I hope it's not just inside a casino. I'd like them to make the environment varied... like a small town, which you can walk the streets and enter several different buildings.

im saying fake for now, could be a mod using parts from rising and tony hawks underground 2 and american wasteland, ill hope it aint but im judging this the same way im judging the "alan wake now an fps" footage.

ATTENTION - am i the only one who bothered to look up the source?, and the fact that its even tagged with the word "fake"?

yeah, upon further inspection, you can see frank standing on what appears to be a rooftop wearing his mega man gear, and as a woman's voice is saying "this is not a test" at the very end of the trailer, you see a zombie walking in front of a wall that says something like "paradise plaza", so i think it may be a fake.

pretty good looking, either way. enough to get me all hot and bothered for DR2, whenever it is that we get to see it.

Yeah I'd prefer a small town/city, rather than "just" a Casino.

But how could you mod all that stuff, with the casino, and that rollerball thingy?

I just hope they fix the problems with DR1, and then add a pound of awesome - like GoW2 compared to GoW1 (Gears of War, obviously).

...

Also, I saw that Alan Wake FPS video - I think that'd be a retarded idea to make it an FPS - but I'd imagine that you can just put yourself in that 'view', rather than that actually being it - it's been designed as a 3rd Person Shooter since day one, so why suddenly change to an FPS?

No doubt it was just testing the FPS view mode, for those who wanna choose, so I call semi-bullshit on that FPS video. Just testing one view mode I bet.

actually i found out through me contacts that the fps alan wake footage is from a little known cancelled horror game called redwood falls.

Very much fake, i watched this last night and i thought alot of it looked like recycled footage then, but having just watched it again, its incrediably fake, i cant beleive some of you guys swallowed this?

It shows a zombie spazzing out in front of a paradise plaza sign, you see frank in the megaman outfit its even tagged on youtube as fake by the person who uploaded it.

I Know all of this has already been said but jeez guys, this fooled some of you?

Well it didn't fool me, mainly because of all the re-used footage.

However, HOW were certain shots done - the Casino stuff, and rolling around in that giant ball - where did that come from?

It's a well done video in general, like most of it you could see being used as a pre-cursor to Dead Rising 2, a kind of "recap" of sorts.

...

Hellsing - ah, a different game even ... well there we are then, I was a bit suspicious of it initially when watching it, thinking it looked a bit unlike Alan Wake - but I was putting that down to not having seen much of it in-game, and it being FPS (hence me thinking it was a view mode being tested).

But ah right - a completely different game altogether, righty-right.

Adding a little more fuel to the fire, I found a game designer from Blue Castle Games (who have been heavily rumored to have taken over development of Dead Rising 2 when Capcom apparently outsourced it) comment on the video by simply saying this (http://www.neogaf.com/forum/showpost.php?p=14695459&postcount=298). Perhaps he's just messing with us...though the more I watch the video, the more I think of how elaborate a fake it would be. Would somebody really go through the trouble of making something that's been rumored for so long? Where did they get the voice actors, one of them sounds exactly like Frank ("The dead are rising AGAIN!") from the first one.

dude, just go on newgrounds' forums and you can get voice actors for everything, and a lot of them sound pretty good and thats one site alone. this really wouldn't have been had to produce.

maybe we'll get lucky and the economy will continue to go to shit, and game retailers will be forced to return to the days of $50 games.:D
