This bit made the whole office laugh:

James Brewer could now face the death penalty over the unsolved killing in Tennessee 32 years ago, reports say.

I believe I would just have a nice type written and signed confession in a safety deposit box with instructions in my will. That's what trying to be overly dramatic gets you :)

amen to that.

i got an out loud yuck-yuck over this one as well. that's what he gets for trying to go out like he's in some kind of movie.

"chico, hold my hand and come close. i've not much time left and i feel the call of the grim reaper. i killed her, chico, i did it all those years ago and now i've got to come clean. i tried to run from it, chico, but you can't outrun your conscience. tell her family i'm sorry and pet my dog for me, chico."

doctor comes in: "good news, it was just a stroke. you're going to be fine. no more talk of dying then, eh."

cue awkward silence.
