Ahhh, Behind the Green Door, definitely a classic in, at least, some sense of the word.

But seriously, I am very saddened to hear about this (shame she didn't do much anal in her later years but hey, you can't have it all :D) because she is a legend. Not only do I have a bunch of her old movies (Private Fantasies with John Holmes is a classic) but Rabid by David Cronenberg is a favourite of mine. What a damn shame.

I'm hella interested as to how she popped off, I mean, died.

Rabid was and is an awesome flick, I even wrote a whole essay about it for my Canadian & Quebecois Cinema class at uni.

She was one of the rare chicks out there who is old enough to be my mom that I would actually do. I saw her in a later movie with her name in the title. I think she had just turned 50 and she still looked great.

I downloaded Behind The Green Door years and years ago specifically because it had Marilyn Chambers in it, being "the chick from Rabid" ... and that slow-mo jizz festival late into the movie is just hilarious ... and the music during that scene rocks, duno why, but because it rocks I ripped the audio and saved it on my WinAmp for future listenings. :D

What a shame!

Years ago back in my dorm days, a friend of mine was strapped for cash and wanted to sell me a box of Ivory with Marilyn on the cover for $50.00, but being a student at the time $50.00 was way too much for me to spend. Now I wish I had spent my $50.00 on that box rather than on books for whatever random classes I was taking at that time.

My general guideline is:

To a person after they're dead = fine.

On a person after they're dead = bad.
