Where do you find your animated forum avatars?

Yo dudes and dudettes,

As some of you may have noticed, I've become accustomed to changing my avatar quite frequently, but I've never been able to find any awesome TV & Film related animated avatars - so do any of you know of any cool (and safe & legal, natch) sites where I could find some?

That's a good question, MZ. I'm still trying to figure out how to modify a GIF that I have saved so that the motion will still work. Damn running zombie-mtv-generation technology!

For the Rorschach one I was using I just goggle-d "Rorschach GIF" or "Rorschach animated GIF". I actually got a bunch of them, but the animation only worked on one. Never could figure out why...:confused:

there are many places to get GIFs

the problem with this site is
depending on your ranking as a member
you are allowed an amout of avatar KBs
that will not allow an animated Gif to work.

so if u are not a member with a lot of stars
dont bother trying.

I lift cool gifs off other forums I belong to.
If someone has a cool avatar i copy it
and if i try to use it here it dont work.

so i use them on other forums.
like HOMS.

Ditto, if I see a cool little avatar, I right-click-nick it. I'm sure this isn't legal but then the avatar itself probably wasn't legal in the first place if it contains copyighted material. Mind you, if I was the copyright holder I'd appreciate the free peer-to-peer advertising *shrug*
