Kick arse dude, neat article.

I also hope you get the distribution issue solved sometime soon, because it deserves a wide outing ... ... which isn't supposed to sound pornographic, but it kinda just did ... hehe.

BTW - love the sig image. :D

We be working on it MZ, but I as I noted in another thread I am re-working the movie a bit.

As of right now with the scenes being put back in... We should gain another 2 minutes so about 87 minutes total running time.

Well regardless of what the latest distributor wants... I have decided to press on with the re-edit anyway. Brian and I get together this saturday to re-score the end of the movie, and yes MZ, your wish for a re-edited ending will come true.

However, like I said in another thread this cut may never see the light of day as the offer on the table is for the current version that has been reviewed and played by Film Fests, although MZ and Bunker65 had only seen the very original cut.

Yays!

So the version this distributor wants isn't the one I saw, but also not the one you're fiddling with right now?

Exactly, its the cut a majority of reviews sites have watched (DeadPit, Fatally Yours, GutMunchers... etc)

Its nearly the same as the one you watched, just tightened down, new scene added, and a few worthless moments or throw away scenes deleted. oh, and a new score.

New Version is color corrected back to original shot color, new song recorded for ending, ending re-edited, new scene placed in that was never used in any cut, Zombie Uprising scenes fleshed out a bit more, some additional shots placed into the "Escape Sequences" some reformatting of scenes leading up to the ending.

Methinks the distributor should put that one out, sounds like an improved version to me. Gonna change their minds are ya?

Well I was asked to render the film in HD format, they are sending the hard drive in a week or two, at that point I will render it out, both versions in HD, provide the Dolby Digital and DTS soundtracks, commentaries etc.

Then put a note in there explaining the versions and let them choose the one they want. I told them about it, but they were content with the washed version, but I am sure once they see the new one they may change their minds.

Just from your few words on it, I'm totally sold - especially because of the tweaks to the ending - but it also just sounds complete.

Yeah, i think you'll love the new ending, Much more suspenseful, and the new score, which I started building really makes it more ominous.

Its even creeping me out. :D

Glad you're excite, the only thing that blows, is I can't reshoot some of it now. :(

The new cut made me come up with some new shots I would have liked to have done, but I am S.O.L on that, and just have to live with it.

S.O.L?

Also - it's all part of the learning process, so on the next movie you make you can use those ideas/knowledge/experience to step up another notch ... *BAM*!

Little Elzar reference there for you. :)
