Not the best Apatow-ish laugher I've seen, but certainly very far from the worst in general comedy terms - good solid fun - could have used even more Rudd/Siegel japery.

You compare those mall cop flicks to Wild Hogs, but I must admit that I enjoy Wild Hogs. It was pretty funny family entertainment, imho. Travolta's paranoia in that film made me cry from laughing so hard...

Just now seeing "The Game"? Damn MZ. I figured a Fincher film would be one of the firsts on your radar. Cool film. Not Fincher's best, but definitely an entertaining film. Seems like I remember reading that there actually are companies that put on those sorts of games. Obviously not to the extreme that this film goes, but I was still surprised by it.

Crank 2 I haven't seen, but it looks like some stupid mindless fun like the original.

Very Bad Things is one of those films that I've loved since day one and have to watch it whenever I come across it on the tube. Hilarious dark comedy. The only thing that bothers me about that film is Christian Slater being....well...Christian Slater.

Leaving Las Vegas is a film that I tend to revisit every couple of years. Always entertaining and a great performance from Cage. Like you said, he does more of the summer blockbuster thing now instead of character driven films. And who can forget Elizabeth Shue? Mmmmmm.:sneaky:

My friend was just last night telling me that I Love You Man is funny and had the heart that Pineapple Express tried for and ultimately missed. Looking forward to Apatow's third directorial effort "Funny People". The trailer is online if you haven't seen it.

By number 7, do you mean FvJ or New Nightmare? Oh and yes, Freddy's Dead is a complete garbage and possibly one of the worst films ever made. I just can't believe someone who was with the series since, the beginning would completely fu*k up like that.

Yes he did, and it is - not his best, and not an amazing movie, but it's all the things that Fincher brings to it that set it aside. In anyone else's hands it would have been any old thriller.

Doc - yeah, I mean "New Nightmare" when I say "Nightmare 7".
