I don't want to make any judgement from this but the source material they have to work with has virtually limitless potential. They have the opportunity to make something really epic here. I'm sure they'll find some way to screw it up though. :(

The latest trailer shows they are reptilians wrapped in human flesh (more likely a synthetic replication like T-800 in Terminator movies) anyone else have a problem with that?
They should have gone with something else like make them be reptilians disgusing themselves with holo technology or have them actually be humans who work for the reptilians, like born from abductees or collaberators or something.

Did you ever see the original? Of course the aliens have to be reptilians disguised in human flesh, that's what makes it V! If they were disguised with holo technology, this wouldn't be a remake of V, it'd be a remake of They Live starring Rowdy Roddy Piper! :D
