Looks like they took John McClane's body from Die Hard 3 and slapped on Jeff Bridges head from Iron Man.:rockbrow:

Not so sure about the bald look - that's been done with 'older, darker' videogame heroes like Sam Fisher ... grey beard ... hmmm.

Even still, I want my mits on Max Payne 3.

Well, there seems to be a trend that we know goes on with movies now infecting video games.

For a couple of years now we've been getting geriatrics rebooting their franchises such as Rambo, Die Hard and Indiana Jones.

Now it seems to be en vogue to have older, grizzled video game protagonists such as Sam Fisher, Solid Snake and now... Max Payne.

Coincidence? I think not !!

Hey man, Marcus Fenix rocks, dude. Plus he's voiced by the dude who does Bender on Futurama. :D

And Master Chief also rocks, but I'm not a mad Halo freak ... but MC looks like the Mac Daddy in that armour of his, plus he's always on top of the game.

Grizzled is also good, but yeah - there is a trend kicking up there, darth...you're not wrong.

I'm really looking forward to Splinter Cell Conviction though - he's got that hobo look going on, and it's working for him - better than the bald look in Double Agent (which I still enjoyed). I'm really looking forward to playing SCC actually - that trailer from E3 sold me on the game completely, it just looks totally awesome and a lot of fun.

It'll have to wait till a bit later though, there's so many games coming out at the same time ... so, the question will be - BioShock 2, or Splinter Cell Conviction for my list to Santa (and therefore which one to wait longer to play)? hmmmm...

oh come on!, at least marcus fenix hated what he did, he was all "it NEVER ends...." but master chief is a generic green novelty fridge till someone says "go this way to kill something", he doesn't question, he just goes, turns anything alive into clouds of matter and moves on.

The more i think about it mc was kind of a douchebag.

I think one of the problems (other than those hells mentions) is that alot like our American Football players MC's head is covered . He could be a machine for all we know. Not seeing someone's face deprives them of any individuality, IMO. Mc might as well have been mass produced.

I could be looking at a football player on a sports show and be like "who's the musclehead?" then they'll show his name and I'll be like "oh yeah, I love that dude !!"

Interesting - although in the case of Master Chief, I don't mind not seeing his face - in fact I think the character is stronger because of it, it almost makes him sort of 'God like' in a way too.

He stands out from the crowd in Halo as well, as he's really the only one in all that get-up with the helmet. You get to see everyone else's face, but not his - the air of mystery is kinda cool - plus, his actions speak louder than his words.

...

Marcus Fenix is just badass, especially in GoW2 - you know the dude's got Dom's back, and the scene where they find Maria just demonstrates how he's undoubtedly "the man" - he's strong, he's in touch with the horror of the situation, he feels for Dom, and he's all about his buddy in that scene.

Plus he's got a great voice, a great sarcastic and/or down-trodden sense of humour (e.g. when they pour out of the rock worm covered in blood), and you wouldn't want to mess with him down a dark alley.

i gotta admit, he looks like a meathead but marcus is a more emotional character. Whereas master chief is an emotionless wheenie, hes a bald, scar faced clone grown in a vat, and i cannot stand the guy, gordon freeman has more emotion than that brick.

hell, the inanimate carbon rod has more inspirational character.

Marcus's intitials are even cool huh MZ? He's literally a bad MF.
