Since we have threads memorializing Farrah and Michael Jackson, I think it is only right that we also acknowledge the loss of Ed McMahon, longtime sideckick of Johnny Carson, former Air Force Colonel, and all around funny guy with a laugh that would make everything seem funny and OK. I hate the thought that this good man's death is going to be overshadowed by the loss of other celebrities.
Ed McMahon, RIP.

He was the ultimate sidekick.
Yesterday I listened to an interview he did, on our local tv station from a few years back, and couldn't help thinking of what an amazing life he lead.

Man, depressing week in entertainment news, eh? At least Ed lived a good, long life. So, there is that.

Still find it sad that this good man's passing registers barely as a blip on the media and pop-culture radar because his loss has been overshadowed by the death of Jackson.
So because he was a good dude, and a veteran, I think that McMahon (and Farrah too) deserve to be bumped back up to the top, hence this post.
