I've been drinking the 'Splitter for years - puts hairs on your chest it does. Just ask Kaos, he's like a big ole gorilla.

Shame Terran ain't on here much. I'm sure he would chime in with that box of Night Of The Living Dead beers he downed one night on chat. :stunned:

now there will be a mad rush of HPOTDers looking for these things. i wouldn't waste your time. these were made for autumn 2007 seasonal release and probably long gone.

I had Skullsplitter once, because a buddy took two sips from it and stated "The name doesn't lie..." and was about to throw it away. Wimp.

Also, I remember seeing those NOTLD Magic Hat brews all over the place back then. I am now kicking myself in the ass for never picking it up.

My favorite brewery is a local one, Flying Fish.

Belgian Style Dubbel
Porter
ESB Ale
Extra Pale Ale
OktoberFish Märzen
Farmhouse Summer Ale
Belgian Grand Cru Golden Winter Ale
BlackFish
HopFish India Pale Ale (Best IPA I've ever had, just above STONE's IPA)
Big Fish Barleywine

When I can't afford that, though, it's:

Speaking of, a lot of the time when I'm on the road and I'll be in a state away from the East Coast and ask for "PBR" the people look at me like I have two heads, I then have to say "...Pabst Blue Ribbon" and they understand. Is it just This area of the country that calls it PBR or something?

here in the midwest, PBR is understood. and that beer is much better than i imagined it would be...actually it's one of my favorites...

PBR gets an extremely bad rep for no reason. People always tell me "thats what's left over from other beers" then I inform them that PBR won BEST AMERICAN LAGER in 2004, 2005, 2006, and various other years. However, they don't believe me because they're stubborn morons.

i'd always kinda thought of it as "skank beer", just due to its lack of advertising and completely generic labeling. then one day i went to visit a buddy while home on leave and his dad had just got back from the store with a case, so he offered us a couple. the rest, as they say, is history.

oh, and walt kowalski from "gran torino" drinks the stuff, so you know it's gotta be good.
