For those of you HD-o-philes out there, Fear Net On Demand is running the 1985 Horror Comedy, Fright Night and if you have an HD Box and WSTV you will see a really great transfer of this flick. I for one am excited about the Blu-Ray release of this film considering how good the HD looks on Fear Net.
Oh and BTW, Fright Night is being remade as well.

Yeah, Sorry. I just found out while watching the original and didn't know if anyone knew about it.

Why? Why remake Fright Night? Look, Fright Night persay isn't an excellent film. Infact, the ONLY thing that film's got going for it is that super cheesy, mega-charming 80's vibe. You can't "remake" that kind of film!

Thanks for the heads up! I won't get the Blu or anything, but I'll definitely give it a watch over the next few.

I am hoping it has a lot of cool features to compliment the great looking HD picture.
While yes it isn't an excellent movie by any means it still has that great 80's vibe which works for the film. So many great horror films and comedies came out of the 80's and the new stuff just doesn't match up.

I loved Fright Night as a kid. Great, cheesy fun, a good score, fun characters handled in a pretty good way by the actors and a vampire with style...albeit 80s style. What a great flick.

Evil should have been the main vampire in the sequel.

It's no wonder then why it's being shown. Count on remake press releases to hit the airwaves soon.
The same happened with the Dawn remake. In the run up to the release i can remember the original being shown on t.v. alot. I've only seen it on t.v. once since then. :(

Or at least make a sidekick appearance....might have saved him from a life of making gay porn...:stunned:
