Nothing like this shocks me anymore...well, usually.
On the flipside, I think weddings need more pinky swearing.

I almost forgot about this one...
Not all geek love stories have happy endings. One 43-year-old Japanese woman was arrested last year following the virtual murder of her virtual husband in free online game MapleStory. She's accused of hacking into his account and deleting his character, and faces up to five years in prison. Game over.

Its frightening to see this person is
STILL living his life like this and not
only that found some twisted broad
to play-play with him.
Isnt there some medication they can
give him?
Imagine if they gave it to him and he
woke up and said "I've been thinking I
am WHO for all these years!!??"

apparently, and i'm sure this is something you'll get a chuckle out of kor, this dude and his wife are fetishists who enjoy dressing up in children's clothing and in the costumes of characters out of children's stories. :stunned::eek:
nice being reminded of how normal you are isn't it? well, i'm gonna close my office door and watch some alien orgy porn. narns on centauri - literally.

A distant relative had a "Princess Bride" themed wedding a while back, and at the time I thought that was the height of super-lameness, but this one beats it hands down.

i know of a couple who had a star wars themed wedding...
...another couple named their kid "luke" after luke skywalker...which is a way better and more subtle tribute to your geek-obsessions rather than centering your whole wedding around it.
and those pictures of that couple are hilarious...doubt i'd attend a wedding like that even if it was close friends...but then again, i don't tend to associate with people who are lame enough to have a peter pan themed wedding..

Awww. He finally found his soulmate. That's just so.......disturbing.
It's not so much that he has a Peter Pan-themed wedding, his entire LIFE is based on the character. Making his own clothing, wearing them to work, etc.
What's the next sign of the apocalypse?

I told my wife if we had a boy I wanted to name him James Tiberius...oddly she wouldn't go for it...

Yes I have, but it would not be appropriate to share the details due to confidentiality.
Come to think of it, I would love it if my wife would agree to make my funeral DOTD 78 themed. She was cool about my request to play "The Gonk" as a prelude. I guess, though, it would be upsetting to some if I had an open casket viewing and was made up to look like zombie Roger!;)

At a friends funeral, the family requested those who attended share stories, anecdotes etc (now keep in mind, he was quite a free spirit & fun loving guy). One of his friends stood up & said he was going to sing something appropriate & sang "Knights of the Round Table" from Monty Python. It got a huge laugh & was one of the most awesome things ever.
