Repo Man spin off

Repo Chick has finished shooting and is now in the very last stages of post production. It will premiere next month at the Venice Film Festival. It is directed by Alex Cox (who did the original) and produced by David Lynch. Gotta admit, this one flew right under my radar.

Pretty weak title, if you ask me. However, I would like to know more details about the movie itself. I read some of his blog but all I gathered were rants about MCA and Universal attempting to sue him and/or creating works related to his, without his consent.

Basically Cox has made a spin off with another company but Universal don't like it.

Nah, I enjoyed Repo Man for one cheesy Saturday afternoon viewing, but I don't see the need for a sequel. Have enough people even seen the original?
