If anyone has come down with a plethora of viruses out of nowhere, relax, chances are you surfed a site that planeted a Hij-jacking software on your PC known as Antivirus Pro 2009, Antivirus XP Pro 2009, or Windows Anti Virus 2009.
This is probably one of the most annoying infections you can ever get as it will Hi-Jack your system and hold it for ransom by disabling your current AV software, lock out Task Manager, Reg Edit, Control panel and more until you pay them a fee to get a serial number to operate the virus scanner. The kicker is, it isn't even AV software, it is a virus/trojan and just one of the biggest scams ever to get money out of consumers.
Beware of this, and if you get I have found numerous sites with removal instructions but they tend to be hit or miss, so I opted for a complete re-install, but if you need instructions go here:
