you decide. if you haven't heard about Caster Semenya, she is a runner from south africa who has been asked to take a gender test to prove she is a woman. she is rather mannish looking.

She could be a genetic screw up with both male and female features. She could also be taking steroids, which would change her appearance. If it is a guy, then he needs to be banned.

I was actually talking about the woman in the first post, but yeah there is definitely something not right about the blonde one - not sure if it's steroids or Photoshop. :D

Not to get into too much gross detail - but I think the "package-like object" is her "mound" protruding because she had no body fat to disguise it. :barf:

If I hear/ read one more person saying "gender test"..! Sorry if I sound overly picky, but it's a sex test they want, not a gender test!

Maybe she's intersex or something. I bet she's not the first, although she may end up being the first to be discovered if she is. Apparently about 1% of people are born with bodies that are not "standard" male or female.

On a personal note I would be absolutely gutted if I was her, being publicly asked to take a sex test just because I don't "look feminine enough" :( Athletes aren't sex-tested as a matter of course the way they are drugs-tested. They should test everyone or no-one I think, not just people who they don't like the look of :/

because just a routine physical exam by
an independent doctor will tell what type of genitals are
attached to said persons body.

then the doctor can check off the box that
says M or F depending on if tacos or
hot dogs were on that persons menu.

i think physicals are required but i believe they are usually the responsibility of the athlete's home country. that leaves open room for chicanery.

you are right, of course, any doctor could give her a simple visual exam. that seems to be far too simple a solution these days.
