A second review appeared online today. These reviews must be based on the Venice Film Festival world premiere.

This one is much more positive:

George A. Romero's latest zombie fest, "Survival of the Dead," is a polished, fast-moving, entertaining picture whose mainstream success will depend on audiences' tolerance of its tendency to become an abattoir of extreme carnage.

Well judging by these first reviews, if there's one thing that we can definitely expect.....it's that the gore factor is there for this one.:D

The mayhem includes heads responding explosively to the effects of fire extinguishers, flares and blades, besides the usual assault weapons. It's surprisingly good fun.

Ideedley doodley!

The review just generally makes the movie sound like a blast. And this mag gave Diary a painfully scathing review, too. Hopefully that bodes well for this in comparison.

"An abattoir of extreme carnage"?

Doesn't sound bad.
