Fucking pancreatic cancer :(

Well, it'd suck at any age to go in such a fashion, but I'll remember his movies fondly (the good ones and even some of the bad ones) and I know what I'll be doing this weekend*.

Goddamn it...this really bums me out. Always seemed like a helluva nice guy & made to of my favorite 80's flicks: Roadhouse & Red Dawn. Gotta bust out Roadhouse now. RIP Patrick.:(

I'm sure all the gin-sodden old housewives will play 'She's Like The Wind' in honour but Roadhouse is where it's at for me.

It was on the cards though. RIP.

Roadhouse was cool....but I would have to go with Point Break. That was his best, imo.

I can't give him points for Point Break... its not him personally, its just the whole movie in general.

Yeh, not quite sure what Kathryn Bigelow was upto there!? :)

it was like a million, middle aged divorcees all wept and poured a glass of gin with an unsteady hand at the same time.

I have always liked Patrick... I thought he was leading man material, I just felt a lot of the role he chose were beneath him and he did just for the money. Films like Roadhouse are great because the supporting cast like Sam Elliot and Kelly Lynch made it worth watching, and not too mention the kick ass music.

Next of Kin was one of the roles that i felt he just did for the Paycheck.

Ghost, is not total garbage. Whoopi Goldberg saved that film with her comedic timing.

Red Dawn... Shit, that is in a class all by itself. :D and I don't mean that in a bad way either.

I liked him in Point Break. I thought he did a great job with that part.
From what's been reported it sounds like he put up a hell of a fight, RIP.

It's the same with Reeves in the Mtrix. i don't think anyone here will argue that he gave a memorable performance there but damn was that a good movie.

And they're both in Point Break. Coincindence? NAye I say!

Damn....

My ex-wife had that issue... both with Dirty Dancing and Grease... So i threw out the DVD's. Problem solved :D

Like I said nothing personal against him, just something about that movie rubs me the wrong way. I think its more Keanu and Lori Petty, but I can't put my finger on it.

One of the good guys ... without the usual Hollywood scandals.

RIP, Mr. Swayze.

Been coming down the tracks for a while that one. RIP anyway. Big C is never a good way to go.

But, eitherway, every film he made was shit. Full stop. Couldn't believe the girls in my school wetting their knickers over him in 'Dirty Dancing' and 'Ghost'. Feckin hell, he was like some grandad at that age.

I liked 'North & South' though. But, if I saw it today, I'd probably puke.

Haha. Luckily I had just left school by the time Dirty Dancing came out. It was bad enough with all my female friends squirting themselves silly over him, I don't think I could've handled a school-load.

I'm sure Ghost will have an all-new meaning for said chicks now he's gone.

I never really liked any of his movies,
but he did always seem like a nice person.

His life was cut short by cancer, at least he
did try to raise money to find a cure, as he
was one of 1500 people who died that same day
from the disease.

Then I get this in my email....who would
do such a thing?

I guess it's a race between him and Jacko who pulls baby out of the corner. :D
