I think that people are apprehensive about it because it seems violent or crude, but it's very economical...

The "Economic Downturn" strikes again!

But..but...but...

What if they hit one of the structures
from the ancient civilizations on the moon with
that thing?

I'm just worried about all that cheese that will go to waste.

We're going to get into trouble with the moon people. Have we learned nothing from old sci-fi movies?

Headlines:

"NASA plans to smash spacecraft into the moon
Scientists believe lunar double whammy may reveal hidden ice in craters"

"Experts believe lunar research is a waste of fucking resources."

Waaaaaaaaaaaaaaait........ They're going to smash stuff into the moon..... to find ice craters? I always thought the consensus was that Mars was the way to go for finding water evidence and stuff.... Seriously, NASA just wants to get violent for no reason because they're already bored with the spacestation. Sure hope it doesn't affect the tide or anything major.... gravity....

Yeah, they reckon it was a bit of a dud when it came to observing the crash but the results should be worth the wait.
