Wow. Thank you for sharing this, Thxleo. I would never have assumed he was still alive last week. Seeing all the changes of a century...I can only imagine how incredible that would be.
Well, R.I.P.

R.I.P. Mr. Maazel :(
His performance lent a great deal of old world atmosphere to Martin.

God bless the old guy, Martin will always be my joint fave with Dawn. I know Lincoln was 106 but shit, it's still a kick up the flanks.

RIP Lincoln.
His performance in Martin was in the same vein as classic Universal horror. He'd have made an incredible Van Helsing.

get out of my brain, man. that is so spooky. i read this article last night while "dracula" was playing in the background and the same thought occurred to me. he would've kicked ass as Van Helsing.
106, wow. RIP lincoln.

Very sad news but it's nice to see that Mr. Maazel lived a very long life. He was great in Martin.

Great actor, loved him in Martin, and reading the article it sounds that he had a great and long life. Sad to hear that he passed - making it past the century mark is something that most of us will never do and I can only hope that I make it to within 20 years of his age. Doubtful, but nevertheless I am still sad to hear he passed.
RIP Mr. Mazel!
(Thanks for the info theo - I too had assumed that he had already left us!)

I couldn't believe that he had not already passed away, either, but am glad to learn that I assumed wrongly. 106 years old is amazing, clearly a life well-lived.
