i really don't expect it to be all that different from dr1, except for a few costumes, weapons, and of course, the character and location...doesn't matter though, the original dead rising is the shit in my book and i'm gonna be picking this one up immediately.

doubt i'll be up that late, i'll just catch it on the net tomorrow morning...maybe they'll throw a release date at us...:rockbrow:

to be honest theres only two things to improve on with dead rising.

1:bigger game world, but that goes without saying.

2:multiplayer co-op.

if its in there it will be epic.

Holy shit, there is a multiplayer mode that's like a Running Man/gladiatorial combat killathon, this is insane:

so its multiplayer like a team deathmatch and not actual co-op. thats is the lamest thing, thats the exact thing i dont want to find when a game says "multiplayer" on the case, the links arent working for me so i hope its different, but if its just player 1 vs player 2 in the game setting trying to kill each other thats lame as fook.:dead:

No, it's 4 player co-op. You're in a huge arena with lights and fireworks, killing zombies in all sorts of ways. Hopefully you can see the trailer, it's really over the top, like a WWE pay-per-view event or something. The DR2 footage on GTTV was a total bust, about 10 seconds of the main character throwing grenades. It did show that the zombies at least go flying with full physics this time around.

In other news, Frank West is a playable character in Tatsunoko Vs. Capcom:

Amazing! :D

The multiplayer trailer is up on Xbox Live, here's the description:

Are you hungry for a little terror, America? Get ready for "Terror is Reality", the bloody game show that has taken the whole country by storm! Watch as modern day gladiators master their fears and risk it all in the pursuit of big money and glory! What reason could Chuck Greene have for appearing on this gore-fest of a TV show? Is it the money? The fame? Does he just hate zombies? Tune in to find out!

Searched around the entire site that you gave and couldn't find any multiplayer footage of DR2.

So I wonder what that is ... is that a multiplayer thing?

I'll only be playing the single player though when it comes out - February isn't it? Damn, February is getting clogged up - BioShock 2 (apparently) and Splinter Cell Conviction (dated) are in that month too.

I wish these games would be more spaced out.

Motorbikes, in an arena, with dual chainsaws strapped to the handlebars = awesome sauce.

I think it's a super awesome idea - the zombie plague is big enough to make it a televised event, but not big enough to stop mankind televising zombie death for kicks. :D

I think it's a great idea, I hope some of that comes into the single player.

I also love the addition of environment aspects - like the bullride machine, or the cash grab machine. That looks nifty.

Annoyingly it appears the control and motion of pushing things hasn't changed from the first (e.g. trolleys in DR1, and the wheelchair in DR2) - but the weapon control seems to have been improved a lot, if the shots of that massive machine gun are anything to go by.

The motorbike riding stuff looks like they've also improved vehicle use, because it was ever so stiff in DR1.

ADDITIONAL - another new video:

"The Rake" (one of those dinky gambling rakes they have in casinos for pulling cards and chips) ... kinda naff, until he starts kicking. :D

while i don't think it looks like total shit, i must say that the multiplayer mode looks pretty lame. and there's nothing significantly new about the game, either. in fact, it looks like the graphics are a bit worse than the original's....

after playing fallout 3, i'm in the mood for a serious and painstakingly detailed zombie epic: open-ended gameplay for missions and quests, safehouses to fortify and defend, stores to raid, etc....and a storyline that begins at the beginning of the outbreak and has no definite ending, but allows for all kinds of free-roam and exploration once the main quest is complete.

i guess this game will suffice for the time being, but it looks like a uninspired re-hash of the first one so far...and while the first was a great game, surely they could've thrown a bit more new shit in there besides a couple of weapons and a dirtbike...

i guess time will tell, but i so far i (kinda) agree with andy.

I've been playing a lot of Fallout 3 recently - and I say oh hellz yeah to that idea.
