What exactly is the point in this new PSP? An old first generation (Fat) PSP which can now be picked up for around £60, plus an el-cheapo memory stick duo, can do almost everything the PSPgo can do (including playing games from the download service), has a bigger screen then the PSP go, can be hacked to play homebrew games/console emulators/ScummVm/DosBox (PSPgo and 3000 cannot), and you can keep all your old UMD games. PSPgo has no reason to exist.

In fact, with a hacked PSP you can actually copy any UMD game directly onto the memory card and store it/run it from there, so technically the mythical, fabled UMD transfer system already exists - it's called "an old PSP".

i shall spread the news to the trolls in the "FUUR'UM-WURZ" trentches, henceforth, the code name "PSPBLOWAMIRITE" shall be bequeathed to this abberation.

Imo, it's just a money grab. Even though the features are virtually identical there will always be a segment of the population that is willing to piss copious amounts of money away so they can show off the latest gadget.

I'm sure that's the way it is in japan anyway.
