Now i dont really like newspapers, especially the sun, a magazine where more often than not 2 3rds of the front page is a woman with haggis boobs trying to look nonchalant, probably by trying to pronounce the word correctly, but i was linked this article from all around nerdy site boing boing.net, and the accompanying pictures are weird enough to warrant and link and not copy-pasta.

its about a sub city below vegas of people living off the scraps of the city above in the empty storm drain tunnels.
Seems like this is how those sci-fi mega cities start with a filthy underclass below the smog given off by the wealthy and easy living people on the upper level from damn near every 60s sci-fi novel thats wasnt set in "modern day"
Still, dern' interesting though.
