Scariest movie that's ever existed?

Thank God there's at least a true *horror* movie out there scaring the shite out of people that has nothing to do with madmen cutting apart screaming women for 2 hours. How this "torture porn" ever got classified with true horror is absurd.

But with Paranormal Activity, I'm definitely intrigued.

Anyone seen it?

I'm intrigued, but it's one of those "limited release" deals. Oh well--I'm up for a field trip. I'll look on Rotten Tomatoes for the closest showing.

Totally agree with that, Im really not a fan of all that torture porn crap at all, so everytime a proper ghost story emerges im all over it like a tramp on dropped chips!hoping this is good :D

I have seen a few mixed reviews on this one...I am thinking it might be over-hyped bunk.

actually yeah, im hearing its mostly cliched crap. cameras focusing on certain things for too long, things occurring with too much coincidence and happenstance to be natural.

heres my prediction, and all i know of the plot is the trailer: The woman is psychic or a witch or something similar and is the source of the problem, gets possessed at the end, is killed, then just as the husband mourns, but appears safe he is killed to leave no survivors for the footage to be found.

blair witch killed the originality of fps films, rec nailed in the final nail into the coffin.

hmm...sounds interesting...I really liked "The Others" for it's suspenceful and scary moments...great stuff...

I don't mind a bit of torture horror films though - just so I can see what Greg Nicotero's up to these days!!!!

i LOVE the others, your the first person. ever. other than me to say they liked it.

This flick looks nothing like it however.

You, my friend, are GOOD. Nice prediction! That trailer really decreased my interest in the film. Oh well, I'll just go see Zombieland instead.
