Was on IMDB and noticed this and knew there are a few Scot fans on here. Tempted to travel all the way up there myself from Herts as I've still never seen Dawn on anything other than my TV. Wonder who the special guest is?

Hmm, that is definitely worth travelling for....!

Arrow and Edinburgh, Scotland’s new Cult Fiction DVD store are teaming up to present the screenings, the first of which will take place at Edinburgh’s Cameo Picturehouse on Sunday, Oct. 25, with DAWN star Ken Foree and DAY OF THE DEAD’s Joseph Pilato in attendance for a Q&A moderated by Waddell. DAWN then shows on Monday the 26th at 5:30 p.m. at the Glasgow Film Theatre, also with actor guests.

I've lost count of the number of releases of Dawn that own and this will be another. It's basically the Ultimate release with different extras from what I can tell. Be interesting to see what the pic quality is like on the Directors & Argento versions cause the Theatrical is excellent in parts.

I suspect that the Argento is up-res'd and not 1080p...looking at the way they advertise the specs...

I'll get it for the collection but other than the box art and a couple of the extras, it's nothing to shout home about if you own the Ultimate Edition four disc box set.

If work commitments allow for it (there is a chance I might be starting a new job on the 25th and I may or may not be working evenings), I will be totally up for that, man! Even if I can't make it, I could always meet you guys for a post-Dawn pint or summat. :)

I went to a showing of Macabre, which was also an event run by Arrow Films, and was held at the same venue. At that time, they were promoting their Masters of Giallo series of DVD releases (with director Lamberto Bava in attendance), and the goodie bag we got contained some sweets for during the film, a Giallo movie poster (I got a House by the Cemetery one) and a booklet/programme type thing and an Arrow Films catalogue.

The GFT site, by the way, doesn't seem to wanna let me purchase tickets for this yet.

Cool beans. I called and booked mine just now. There's a £1.50 booking fee for telephone booking. Got one for my girlfriend too.

So I've got a ticket but I'm still not 100% sure I'm going, although I did notice that the start time has been put back to 6PM so that's a minor plus for me.

So that's:
Andy
Capn
Ludovico
Me (probably)

Shapin' up to be quite a crowd! Anyone else fancy it? There's a little cafe-bar in the venue so I guess we can meet in there for a drink beforehand, plus they let you take booze into the theatre (so long as it was purchased at their bar).

I'm at work so i can't blow it up but i believe it is sir. Is that in the movie? Not that I can remember anyway. But as you pointed out a couple of weeks ago, it wouldn't be the first time that there was a cover with something totally not in the movie on it.

That being said, zombie Stephen posing with his legs crossed like that reminds me of the way that baseball player ghoul was sitting there with his legs crossed watching fran as they were clearing out the mall.

Yeah, Arrow Video's recent DVD covers are all custom-painted and are usually a little bit... interpretative. I think it's cool though, it reminds me of 1970s and 80s movie posters which always captured the feel but rarely the exact detail of the movie.

Sure is. That's an old porn trick and this was the 70s, after all :D

That's the first thing I thought :dead:

Now someone post about the price so I can roll out that Scrooge McDuck image I've cocked and ready.

As long as it's not gonna cost you you're # 1 dime right? :p

Very good point sir about the 80's movies. The posters for the left 4 dead campaigns are like that as well.
