So im thinking of ordering the Dr Tongue mask for my halloween costume this year, but i was wondering, was there ever a story behind that particular zombie? I always figured it was a botched shotgun suicide attempt after being bitten that had left him like that! :eek:

Yeah, maybe. Or maybe someone tried to shoot him in the head but missed the brain and only succeeded in taking out half of his face. Or maybe his jaw was just ripped off by a zombie trying to get at his soft palette a la Land.

actually one cannot see this really well because of the lighting used in the shot but he's actually a doctor. savini was bummed he spent so much time on it and it was such a fleeting shot.
