well folks, despite the cropping, looks like the optimum is the best blu-ray version at the moment. the network transfer looks pretty shocking tbh. the reviewer also states there is over half a minute of missing footage. full comparison here...

What would truly be funny would be a special edition Blu-Ray of "NOTLD" but it ONLY includes the 30th Anniversary version of the film without the true version of it.

Talk about an absolute slap in the face that would be...

There was a 'Trilogy Of The Dead' DVD box set over here that had Night, Dawn, Day and a bonus disc of documentaries. Imagine the sheer horror of discovering that disc 1 was Night30 when it was advertised as Night regular...

Steer clear of it.

I have that. I can tell you I was SOOOO pissed off when I discovered it contained the 30th Anniversary Edition of Night. Mercifully, the Night disc in my copy was damaged (perhaps the infernal travesty of the film's butchery warped the plastic), so I was only subject to the first half of this regurgitated abortion. I was, however, able to skip to the end and marvel at the stupendous idiocy of Russo's new finale. :barf:

What bothers me is that the box-set was a fairly popular seller, and probably served as many peoples' first experience of Night.
