along those same lines: have you heard the stories coming out of southern africa about albinos being murdered and parts of their bodies sold to "witch doctors?" a couple of people were just convicted in tanzania (i think) for this very thing.
i might look that story up, it makes a nice companion piece to this one.
pretty rough stuff for sure.

yeah. i was also aware of this watching District 9 which used elements of that to a disturbing but effective degree.

The MUTI tribe in South Africa have been known to cut off people's anatomy (one case they cut off the p*nis of a 11 year old boy) and sell them to witch doctors who claim to be able to cure disease (otherwise known as a curse) out there. It's a brutal and evil practise...unbelievable.
The topic of thread, man...sickening behaviour...but its hard to educate people that far out in the sticks...
