Nice and wet over Yonder? News to me. It is cool and windy over here, sick of this shit man. It's always "Warm weather over there, but oh snap, a cold front is coming here"! I tell yea, I wish I lived that way. It has nice median temperatures year round, and a much better standard of living then over here.

thanks, bro. it was just time for me to make the pilgrimage to THE mall. it didnt hurt that the chick working the time and space store was VERY hot. and she knew her zombie stuff. the whole thing with security taking cameras is a rule......nothing more. they dont enforce it unless ur walking around making a scene. i was able to ride the elevator and film it without incident. the guy working at fye even helped me find certain places where they filmed so i'd think they enjoy the business

nope. way too many people for that, coast was clear but as soon as i got by the escalators, some bimbos just had to get by it. also it was on...........so no dice. same with the elevator........... no one wanted to use it til i got by it.

i will say this tho, some stuff was made to look in different spots or bigger than it was. i.e. the elevator was made to look in a different spot than where it really is.

penny's and the ice rink should be in the same shot.......they're not and they're right by each other on different floors.

Yo ace, if you are still there, are you are a stickler for perfection, you may want to go back and take a different pic of the light pole in the parking lot. You are showing a pic of #50, the pole shown in Dawn for #30.

Also, not sure if you are in Pittsburgh or just in Monroeville, but if you are not in Pittsburgh itself, you may want to go over there, I think it is a great city. Have dinner and watch the sun set from one of the restaurants on Mt Washington, over looking the golden triangle. That is some cool shit!

The ceiling was not lowered at the mall. It's also just as wide as it was in the 70's. They have restaurants & retail shops taking up more space now, plus the tables and chairs for the food court itself. They have, of course, done some remodeling to the food court area.
The bank you photographed was a brand new National City bank built just a few years ago. It recently became a First Niagra bank. The actual bank location in the mall is currently empty. If you look at the mall map, the bank was in unit 225

I was about to give you and Mike Pizzoff the same information but thxleo beat me to it. Thanks leo :skull:

In the bottom right corner of the print there is a tag for Brian Rood's website. In the left bottom corner of the print there is a seal for the CBLDF and issued by, I believe the Pittsburgh Comicon.
I was given mine by the mall Manager way back in November of 2003. She felt sorry for me that I traveled all the way from Boise, ID and then drove from Niles, OH. She however was not willing to have a security guard take me on a personal tour of the key spots of the film. They had tours on Fridays she said, and I missed it by one day. I bet sometime after my visit they realized the attraction and significance of the mall related to Dawn would make a good sell, so they hit up the marketing department and got the ball rolling some more in that direction. The zombie store was not there when I went, and neither where Ken Foree's handprints and autograph. Aahhhh man... I got shafted.

My poster is in a frame on the wall and I plan to some day have it signed by our fearsome four and one great director. And maybe a certain special effects artist. :D

Zombie store?! Is it any good? I never knew there was one there. I've always sorta wanted to go to Monroeville Mall, but being someone who completely despises malls I always felt it'd be a long-ass road trip for me to just walk through the mall for about 5 minutes thinking "cool" then driving all the way back home.
