What the hell do you say about shit like this !?! People like this should definitely be executed. WTF were they thinking? They obviously have bigger balls than i do for even attempting some crazy shit like this, but still. Did they think they were just gonna show up, chant "Death to America" 3 times and it would be all good?

I can't help but think that turncoats never fit in. No matter how hard they try they never were gonna be "one of them" and the place where they came from isn't going to want them either.
Sounds alot like Joe Leiberman to me but i digress.

Anyone else want to express their disgust? :hurl:

The men have not been charged. It was not clear if they had been appointed local lawyers.

Hope they like Pakistan. When they call you a detainee, instead of a prisoner, you can wager on spending a long time in limbo

"They lacked references".

You know the job market has dried up when you can't even get hired to be a suicide bomber.

I can just see that job interview:

"And you've had how many successful suicide bombings?"

"Weeeeeell...I wouldn't go so far as to call them "successful"..."

"But you do have experience?"

"Not really. But, and I can't stress this enough Mr. Laden, I'm a quick learner. I'm also dependable, I never call in sick."

"Do you have any references?"

"Well, sort of. My dad does business out here, so I'm familiar with the area. And my uncle used to know a few 'key guys'. Plus, I've been doing a lot of networking on Facebook..."

OK so impressionable and disaffected youths go to Pakistan and try in vain to be jihadists - but are turned down probably because they were suspected to be spies working for the CIA - rather than it being a reference issue.

Anyway, "definitely be executed"? Methinks you've simply got some idiot, impressionable kids who've gone too far...lock 'em up for a few years to send a message...but execution?

I had this thought that if we execute one guy, then the guy that executes him also has to be executed, and the guy who executes HIM must also be executed, then this goes on and on and on until the last guy just has to sort himself out somehow...

It will be very interesting to see how the Obama Administration handles this.

If it were the Bush regime these guys would be in some really deep shit. At the very least they would be held without charge and tortured. They would eventually see the light of day though because they are American citizens after all. They will probably get the Jose Padilla treatment. Stay tuned.

I'll say it. Fuck those guys. Anyone who wants to put the people, of the land they lived in, in their crosshairs needs to be exterminated. Though this land may be fucked up at times, it is a bastion against all the things oppressors seek to enforce upon others. Anything in the name of Islam is not a good thing for the world. Wayyy worse than Christians could ever hope to be...

They should be placed on trial for treason.

Never should we attempt to "smack on the hand" anyone, being young and dumb in this case doesn't cover it, those who voluntarily attempt to turn their backs on our great country. If this had been during the Cold War and these boys (and I'll call them boys because men should never act this way) had decided to visit the USSR and ask to join the "cause" they would have been arrested and charged out the ass for their activities. And they should be here as well.

The only thing in this world worse than terrorists are AMERICANS who attempt to appease and, even worse, those who attempt to join and/or participate within terrorist activities that would directly inflict probable harm on our nation. There's just no excuse for citizens who are born into the privileges of being citizens to act in such a disrespectful and downright disgusting manner. I have no pity for what fate awaits them.

Traitors are worse than cowards, a coward is not actively malicious against you, but a traitor will stab you in the back in a heartbeat, and in the case of standing against not only another American, but for all of America, that's the greatest possible crime against our nation. Cowards can be given a certain measure of latitude and growth, traitors should be escorted to the gallows.

definitely...!

---------- Post added at 08:29 AM ---------- Previous post was at 08:25 AM ----------

y'know a part of me keeps a small bit of empathy and actually feels sorry for these kids - same as the kids who blew up trains on 7/7...sounds controversial but it really boils down to me pitying anyone stupid enough to take up an idealogy that intends to get them killed - something has to be very wrong at home for morons like that to be born and bred...its very sad.

I definitely don't feel anger, just an overwhelming sense of pity for these pathetic, impressionable fools, who've got no freedom of thought....mind you, I wonder if they think the same things about us as we do about them?

My gf was a train away from being blown up on 7/7 - people she worked with saw the carnage and were scarred for life...very sickening...makes you think - but then you see the suicide video that the bombers released and you realise these idiot kids don't have a f**king clue what they're talking about and are just recycling hate speeches they have recieved in private...they're idiots, and in one way or another were always destined to be killed in some bizarre fashion, but instead of falling into a pulping machine they chose to find some sort of tribal belonging and were stupid enough to be lovebombed to the point of blowing themselves up...how stupid can you be?

on another note I was watching a news clip at work of a flogging in Afghanistan and the weird thing is, after they've totally f**ked you up with a bamboo stick, and broken your skin in multiple places, they pat you on the back and congratulate you for going through it...all I could think of was "cultish lovebombing"....bizzare!!!!
