Beautiful. Just stunning.

Orion is my favourite nebula, because it's so pretty and because it's so easy to spot: just find Orion's belt, look for the three "stars" below it that form Orion's sword, the second one down (sometimes looks hazy) is not a star but is actually the nebula. Looks awesome even though a pair of cheap binoculars.

I totally agree. I don't chime in on them all that often, but most are incredibly interesting and the one's like this one are exactly what I find so fascinating, beautiful and awe inspiring about the cosmos.

on the subject of other solar systems, the keplar space telescope is already yielding some results. it has found 5 new planets in its first 6 weeks of operation. they are all super hot planets that orbit close the their stars.
