The cruise ship passengers booked their vacation long before the earthquake happened. Excursions off the boat aren't cheap for cruise ship passengers. Anywhere between $35 and $250 depending on the type of activity.

The Haitian economy needs all the cash it can get right now.

I can't imagine that there is a ton of activity right now regarding excursions, especially inland.

Would you do the Bourbon Street waltz days after Katrina? The bars need the money right?
