Any posts declaring that prog rock is shit, or "fuck man, Motorhead are wayyy better, dude" will be removed. If you like the more experimental side of rock music then feel free to post yer vids. I'll start with a couple.

Tool - Parabola

The Mars Volta - Cygnus... Vismund Cygnus

Good choices man!

Iron Maiden is basically a prog band these days too:

I also adore these guys:

And I'm not sure if Hawkwind count as prog (so much as stoner/space rock), but that's just semantics. It hits the same spot:

Erm, Iron Maiden are most definitely heavy metal...

...but I'll bow to Jethro Tull and Hawkwind. I'm a big fan of Jethro, especially.

A lot of Iron Maiden's latter stuff leans very heavily towards Dream Theater-esque Prog Metal. Listen to that song, you might see what I mean.

I know the song, but shorry Marts, Maiden died for me when DiAnno was fired. ;)

What? You post Dream Theater playing RUSH?! I'm soooooo disappointed.

How about RUSH playing freakin' RUSH...

YES: the true progressive rock masters.
They didn't try to be "progressive" -- they just played kick-ass rock.

King Crimson: this is just 100% raw... pure... talent.

i'll throw a bit of a side glance in the ring with some unusual chip-tune stuff with "the hero returns" from the album "i'll have you naked by the end of this rom"

This guy is the ultimate guitarist freak. You could argue he's actually "fusion" but back in the 80s he was writing 4-minute songs which I would definitely label "progressive."
