I just watched this very dark seth rogan comedy about a bi polar mall cop who loses his shit after he stops taking his clomazapan and looking at it on imdb read an interesting take on it.
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1197628/board/flat/144294630?p=1
Basically, after he stops taking the medication he needs and never appears to go back on things all start to go too "right" for a character whos done a lot of bad things during the flick, he gets the girl, upstages the cops, punches the guy who has a restraining order on him and comes out of nowhere to shoot the flasher which gets him his job back and the respect of everyone around him.
Is it possible the writer was fucking with us and the end of the film is just ronnies hallucinations?, the more i think about the more i can see how this could be seen in this context.
probably reading into it, but this reminds me of the essays we did in film studies, anyone else seen this lately and get the feeling it wasnt as happy an ending as it appeared to be?
