thats what i call smart stupid, doing something that takes some ingenuity, but its plainly retarded.

-case in point a friend got a raley car and rewired all of it so the dashboard was one big red button and a steering wheel. no key or anything, just a big red button.

The very definition of making something more complicated than it needs to be.

Could you imagine? I guess the sale of cranes would increase, but I can't really see any other benefit.

Attention grab. Nothing more.

Don't be suprised to see this dude vying for a spot on the next reality show, sorta like those idiot balloon people from a few months back.

Some people are really good with photoshop these days. Are we sure this isn't an altered image?

It probably is a fake, but probably not photoshopped - I reckon the crane is lifting the mower and the guy over the hedge (for some reason), and someone took a pic at the right moment to make it look like he's mowing the top of it.

I'm thinking the whole thing is a fake. I know there are some numpties out there, but I just can't believe that someone would be dumb enough to lift a person on a lawn mower over some power lines....

Awww, c'mon bassman, go take a look at the Darwin Awards website - there are plenty of people stupid enough to do something like this.

Now, that being said, this could very well be photoshopped, I have no idea (I just posted it for a good laugh), but, I have no doubt that there are enough idiots in the world that at least one would try something like this. All it takes is one read through of the news every day to prove that fact. :D

I guess people have done stranger things with mowers....

I would love to have been a fly on the wall when this idea came about. "Hey Jedd.....you know hows we love our mowers? Now you know how we love Nascar?....."

The power lines are in the foreground, in front of the whole scene; if you look closely at the straps holding the mower, you can see the lines do pass in front of them.

My eyes must be shot. Looks like the lines are between the mower and the crane. I'll take your word for it, though.

 @ the lawnmower races.

What's sad is, I've watched them before and wow do those mowers move out! They're fast as hell - although you'd never catch me on one. :D

Which is exactly why they have to put instructions on things like shampoo.

Yeah, and why McDonald's has to put labels on their coffee cups that say "this is HOT"

Ummm, it's coffee - and it's hot? REALLY? I had no idea..
