I'm calling fake. Gotta be. No way this could slip through without any controversy. This is a group of sh*tty parents filming their kids and then trying to pass it off on the net as a school play.
Real or not, the adults behind this should be ashamed of themselves.

Sounds like one of those things funny in concept, but twisted in execution.
Anyone know where this supposedly takes place?

And people wonder why the youth of today has gone straight to shit...

I wonder how they recreated the shootout scene at the end of the act. Btw, I am still trying to rent the XBOX version on Gamefly. It appears to be a very popular game.

The worst part is that the person that put these kids up to this is probably someone that doesn't understand the film and only thinks it's good because it's "Gangsta Dawg".
Like all the rappers you see on MTV that have Scarface posters and dvds playing during that Cribs show. Those morons wouldn't know a good movie if it sat on their face and shit in their mouth. They just like it because Montana is a minority that ends up rich. Too bad they forget the part that he gets himself killed in the process. It's the rise and fall of an american gangster, people. Not the bling bling live forever dealin coke dream.
Okay...mini rant over. :p

What's really sad to me is that's the ideal that most of my people go for. Not medical or law school. Sad isn't even the word for it though.
Pathetic is more apt. Keep smoking your blunts and blaming the white man for everything people. you'll be just fine.

haha...yeah. It's amazing what these "fans" of scarface are missing. Anyone with half a brain could see that there is actually a message about morals and doing the right thing throughout the film. The problem is that the main character goes the opposite direction. You're supposed to end up hating him for his stupidity, not praise him for it. I mean....the mother f*cker kills his best friend and sister. You think that's cool???
Anyway, sorry for the hijack. Whether or not this was a school play or just someone instructing some kids and filming it for fun, I still think they should be brought up on charges for child cruelty. Even with altered dialogue and popcorn, it's still very wrong.
The weird thing is that I probably would've laughed at this a few years ago before becoming a parent. Now it just disgusts me...

it's a rags to riches story people. It appeals to lower economic young men for it's mix of violence, sex and of course seeing someone rise and fall with power.
I can't believe this has turned into a "let's bash rap culture" thread. I hate rap, and don't subscribe to the lifestyle - but live and let live.
and anyway, the play was a fake.

Unfortunately for your mini rant, it was made by a music video director and the kids were cast from a celeb lookalikes agency. The audience was made up of friends and family of the cast and crew.
The whole thing was set up as a trick to get people riled up I guess, and it worked beautifully!
Quite rightly the director is quoted in the link above saying he finds it ironic that people would find this stuff offensive yet allow the continuous sexualisation of young girls all over US TV screens.

I'm not saying everyone is like that and I don't hate all rap culture. I actually like some (older) rap. I was just pointing out that it's become cool to like Scarface but most of them probably don't like it for it's actual filmmaking and storytelling power. That film was a classic for justified reasons before it became the mascot of MTV "musicians".
Which, by the way, I've heard rumors of it being remade(again) with those very same people.:|
As the for the main topic - Glad to see it's a fake. But it's still wrong to have those young kids saying things like that.

REMAKE SCARFACE.. AGAIN?
HELL NO!
PACINO's Version is the best and this is JUST one film THAT SHOULD NEVER BE REMADE! PERIOD!

Imo, it's glorified by alot of minorities because it depicts one of there own making buttloads of money without actually having to do anything for it. I lived in the projects for 25 years and the same lazy scum that used to be in front of the building when i left for work in the morning were the same lowlives that would be smoking weed in front of the building when i got home.
They sit there and fantasize about this shit.
And that last pargraph you wrote is right on the money. Gotta love fake/symbolic outrage.
Mom: Honey, this is disgusting, let's go.
Kid: But why mommy?
Mom: We need to get home in time to watch the Bad girls club.
