Cliff Bleszinski of Epic Games was set to show off his new game on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon last night, but had to delay it until Monday to polish up the presentation. Microsoft jumped the gun and put this up early this morning:

So, come Monday night we should get a good look at the game. With all the multiplayer glitches Gears 2 had, and the fact that they have a year left to develop, Epic really needs to knock it out of the park.

I don't know, I'm looking forward to a 3rd installment and was not disappointed by the gameplay or story of Gears 2. Though, to be fair, my online multiplayer was primarily me and my buddies on horde mode, as I had been warned away from the PvP aspects of the game by what I had hear around.

Horde mode is far too fun. I still play it the odd time with a friend of mine, but always had trouble joining random people, as they always tended to run around screaming into their headsets for help and getting killed.

Sorry about that. What can I say? Wretches are scawy!

I still play horde every once in a while myself, but only with friends and we had a good full group for it too. Good times!

Wretches are hilarious. They just stand in line behind one another while you chainsaw them. It is like they booked an appointment with your saw blades.

I have many a fond memory playing horde mode with my friend (just the two of us, we can make it if we ttr- oops, sorry bout that). We'd get into the swing of things, kick ass and take names. Head shot everything from miles away, do daring attacks on boomers with only melee, and dive and roll around the map like mad cunts. we became too comfortable, and on wave 40, BAM, blood mounts everywhere and we died.

Next time we attempted it, I ended up running around the entire river map screaming into the mike for help, as i was being chased by 4 of the things. My friend was busy trying to chainsaw a butcher...for...some reason.

Good times...and now I want to play Gears again...

That date could change. Remember the last 2 games were released right before Christmas. It would only make sense that the 3rd game would be no exception.

Bought and tried playing the first - wasn't impressed. Played the second - wasn't impressed. Third? The ol' pass-er-oo for me.

Generic first person shooter that's WAY too overhyped. Just my 2 cents...

cool, i really dug the story of the first two, meathead protagonists aside, the whole story of the world and what the locust are, the lambents and all that shit in the facility in the mountains kept me entertained. Its gonna be nice to play more.

-and a sequel, not another prequel.

im talking to you, halo.:bored:

Are you talking about Gears or something else because it is not a fps...

Where else could they go with Halo? Three marked the end of Chiefs story (as we know thus far) and anything else made would either- not have the chief, run parallel to the chiefs story, or head foreword in time, where the only real thing to do would be a mop up operation against the covenant.

Reach is the right move as far as making a new Halo game goes, and from the look of things, it is going to be fantastic.

I don't get any sense of finality with the 2001 ending of Halo 3....

"Wake me when you need me"

The ending of Halo 3 was an obvious set for a sequel, Why Bungie would want to hand the reigns off to another dev team to finish Master Chiefs story is beyond me.

Exactly, the ending to halo 3 has mastercheif approaching some vast technology covered world, and honestly i would rather see that than yet another game set before master chief saves the day.

Mostly because we know master chief saves the day so all the novels and games seem kind of moot unless they go the route of adding side things of grand importance that aint canonical and never get mentioned again. Call it crisis core syndrome.
