Can you say Awesome!?! :hyper:

Not so much in the respect of the content they are offering but the fact that it's free. It used to be that when you finished a game you would get either a bunch of unlocked weapons, skins, and yes new scenarios/levels for free.

It's suprising to see a franchise this recognizable go back to that.

Here's to hoping others follow suit. Don't hold your breath though.

bet there hosting it themselves, ceberus network style to get around microsofts ONLY ONE FREE DLC EVER rule for xbl. Im more a metal gear man myself but this sounds rad, certainly if its for online multiplayer.

I wouldn't put it past MS at all.

But there is a thing called good will. I been thinking. MS is a multi billion dollar corp. It wouldn't break them to let some dlc be free once and a while, especially the smaller items such as weapons and costumes, the latter which are basically just skins.

Sooner or later that nickle and diming practice of theirs is going to bite them on the ass just as sony's arrogance did. Isn't it funny how these large corps. only find "religion" after the paticular bad behavior starts hurting their bottom lines?

I can remember an officer from Sony prior to the ps3's launch saying something t the effect of "yeah we know that 600 dollars is alot for a console but this thing is so awesome that people will want to work extra hours to buy one." :stunned: Huh? Wtf?

Ms is suffring from the same type of hubris lately and it we only end when we make it end. More specifically when we stop plopping down 15 bucks for new map packs. As long as people keep paying for stuff that should be free they will continue to charge us. It'll hurt for a while not being able to get fresh content for a game that you love but in the end it will be better for the average consumer.
