ok. i'll put this here since it doesn't involve the living dead.

some of you may have heard of this film or even seen it. it has been banned in america and many other places for eons.

well i saw a dvd copy of this at half price books in the bargain bin for $1. so i said what the hell. this has to be one of the most infamous movies that i have ever heard of but never seen - so i bought it. let's just say that even at 36 and having been in somalia for 6 months and seen all sorts of chaotic sh*t go down, i can still be traumatized and sickened by a movie. this is one of the most graphic and offensive things i have ever seen. there are some of the most brutal rape scenes in this ever put on film. i mean brutal. so brutal in fact that it seemed like more than just acting on film. there are also extremely graphic depictions of animal torture and a scene that damn near verges on child pornography - this dude is taking a bath in a lake or a river when a group of extremely young, naked and obviously underage girls come out of the jungle and frolic with him.

all in all something that left me both shocked, numb and grossed out in a way that i didn't think was possible.

even having said all this, i don't think the movie should be banned or unavailable. i have taken a strong stand against all forms of censorship my entire adult life and a movie is not going to shake that but if anything has ever tested that belief, it was this film.
watch this only if you dare.

I have never heard a better testimonial for a film, ever. I will seek it out, starting right now! I have Cannibal Ferox (again, supposedly banned in 50 countries, etc.) and it was similiar to what you say. But I have yet to see Holocaust, which I have wanted to.

I've seen Cannibal Holocaust...and its probably one of..if not THE most disturbing movie ever. Even hardcore horror fans/gore lovers have trouble with this one. I know I had my uneasiness while watching it. Not for the weak stomached or faint of heart...thats for sure...

its like the blair witch with gore, lots of gore.

though its hard to believe the evil dead or zombie flesh eaters was banned.

i spit on your grave i can because the bathtub scene makes me cross my legs everytime i watch it.
though i got that box of the banned for less than a tenner so i aint complaining.
