If you all ever get a chance, watch a 1959 movie called Invisible Invaders.

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0052929/

It has been a while, but I saw it on a whim when they showed it during one of the horror film festivals on a satelite channel. I thought it was just going to be one of the usual army vs. a big monster movies that were so common in the 50s, but it turned out to be a late 50s version of NOTLD and DOTD.

It is campy like most scifi movies of that era, but zombie fans would appreciate it as a precursor to modern zombie movies.

i think you should turn this around. NOTLD seems to me to share more than a cursory resemblance to this film.

No-one has seen it because it's invisible - wah, wah, waaaah!

Come on, somebody had to!

I'm not sure, but I don't think Romero has ever acknowledged this as being an influence but it's hard for me to believe because there are so many similarities.

Btw, does my user name ring a bell?
