The Ol' Gunney's great. Why they took his shows off History Channel, I'll never know.

His website's hilarious, too. The animated intro video had me cracking up.

The only thing that gets me about Ermy is that too many people know him only as the cop from the Texas Chainsaw remake. He was decent in the role and all, but I can't help but roll my eyes when i'm having a conversation with someone and it turns out like this:

me: "You know....R.Lee Ermey. The drill sargeant in Full Metal Jacket"

guy: "full metal what?"

me: *sigh* "....The cop from Texas Chainsaw Massacre."

guy: "oh I love that movie!!!"

Sometimes they'll recognize him from Saving Silverman, as well. But never FMJ...

I didn't like Full Metal Jacket at all.

I guess my favorite movie with R. Lee would be Seven. Second place would go to The Frighteners.

Chainsaw would be down there somewhere around "positive HIV test".
