...I know, I'm a fucking disgrace, but I do, I don't know why I enjoy some of the shit that I do, but it just kinda happens. Hallmark must fucking love me.

Current shite remakes on my DVD shelf

Jason and the Argonauts (Jason London, Dennis Hopper etc)
The Lost World (Bob Hoskins, Peter Falk etc)
Journey to the Center of the Earth (Brian Brown, Jeremy London, Tushka Bergen etc)
The Time Machine (Guy Pearce, Jeremy Irons etc)

Are just some of the remake DVD's that own and have watched in the secrecy of darkness...maybe it's just the generes I like, but still, it's bloody shamefull.

I know it's messed up, but I had to get that off my chest. :(

(been scouring ebay for a cheap copy of "20.000 Leagues under the Sea" (Michael Caine version) as well - God help me).

Some people think the DAWN remake is poor, and I love it. So don't feel bad. :D

Hey.....I didn't say it was a good movie. The title of the thread is I Enjoy Poor Remakes. I enjoy it because it's so laughably bad that it's entertaining. Kinda like a MST3K kind of thing. Or Batman & Robin.

There's enjoying stuff that's bad, and then there's saying you enjoy Ghey08 ... you must lash yourself 10 times and repent your sins! :D

It doesn't sound like you have a weakness for all shitty remakes, so much as you have a weakness for kitschy throwback films inspired by or covering topics from the pulpy scifi, grand adventure/discovery genres. I can certainly appreciate that.

There is a True Grit remake on the horizon, something to look forward to...
