I will embrace my laziness, refuse to walk downstairs to the bathroom, and fill bottles with pee. Usually I forget to get rid of them before she gets home...

2. I have the offspring and I spend the evening watching cartoons until she falls asleep. Then I move along to whatever I please..

Either way, I can find a way to enjoy her being gone. Only then to figure out that I love it once she comes back...

Weird you posted this tonight. My GF is away at a conference tonight through Friday. I veg, play games and, frankly, spend quality time with porn and partake in some other depravities (nothing against the law or secret from my girlfriend). I love my girlfriend, but I also love solitude, at least to a fair degree, so time to myself is like oxygen--I fucking need it to survive

Wanna talk super lazy? When I lived at home, the bathroom was next to my bedroom. Literally 3 feet from my bedroom door. Yet, whenever I was drinking/drunk I would piss out my bedroom window instead of "walking all the way to the toilet".

I'm lucky to have a girlfriend that gives me all the freedom I want. I have friends that also live with their girlfriends (or are married) and have to cancel our plans sometimes to hang out with their girlfriends/wives, at home. WTF? You LIVE together! You are constantly hanging out! Not only that, but they have to do EVERYTHING together. Never will they go out solo. It can be annoying at times.

Thankfully my girlfriend has the same mindset as me and isn't like that, at all. This isn't to say she'll put up with me pissing in bottles, though. I guess that's the one freedom I sacrifice.

Married with 2 kids, so any time I get alone is precious. Love them to bits, but I also love just sitting back, throw all my Metal on the PC on random, and blast it. Got one of those Media Centre things hooked up to my surround system, so no need for CD's for me. Either that, or I take the dog and my ipod on a long walk.

In all seriousness, it's difficult when my wife goes away. I hate it when we have to spend time apart, and I spend most of my time wasting the day away as quickly as I can awaiting her return. Watch movies, surf the internet - basically, anything to keep my mind off her not being there.

Yeah, yeah, I know, sounds mushy and lovey-dovey, but I'm lucky 'cause I've been in a very good marriage for 15 years now. ;)

When my wife is away I shut the blinds, strip off my outer clothing, flop down take a nap in the starfish position. You married folks who sleep with your spouses night after night will probably relate to how sleeping alone in bed is a rare and luxirious indulgence.
