Wow, that's impressive!
Lucky dog...
As for myself, no ideas yet... something involving a boiler suit, but then what?

I will dress just like I do on any other day.

When people say "where's your costume?" I say, "I'm wearing it"

"what are you supposed to be?"

"I'm a serial killer, I look just like everyone else." :p

Ahhh....this is killing me. I know this quote, but I juct can't spit it out. I know a kid says it. What movie?

I'm not really doing the costume thing this year. Might take the little girl to a few houses, but most of the night will be spent sitting at home, handing out candy, sipping on some JD, and watching The Walking Dead BABY!

Might put on the ol' Ghostbusters uniform for kicks...

You're thinking of Christina Ricci in The Addams Family (maybe the sequel?)... I believe the line is "I'm a homicidal maniac... they look just like everyone else."

Actually, the first time I heard that was well before the Addams family - it was one of the kids on the Rosanne show that said it to her mom. The creepy wanna-be-goth-ish kid (the older one with the black, curly hair - can't remember her name). I never really watched the show, but my wife always wanted to watch the Halloween episodes 'cause they did some crazy stuff. ;)

Ah yes. No wonder it was killing me. I love those two movies.

"Aren't you just a lady killer?"

Gomez: "Acquitted."

Raul Julia was great in those. I need to actually dig those out for a Halloween screening....

My girlfriend and I just watched Addams Family Values the other night. It was my first viewing since the movie first came out. I remember strongly disliking it as a kid, but now that I'm older there's quite a few jokes that I just didn't "get" back then, which makes the movie much more enjoyable and a lot funnier than my memory had served.

Values usually catches a lot of shit for being an inferior sequel, but I've always liked it. It was kinda strange having it center around Uncle Fester again. The camp stuff is hilarious, though.

Alan wake, pretty simple, just sort of gel my hair over and back, don a hoodie, tweed jacket and carry a torch and some printed out manuscript pages. Will be trawling about with the 11th and 9th doctors respectively, scott pilgrim and catwoman.

So last night, at the restaurant I work at, I did some quicky zombie makeup. Just a light base to the face with water soluble white paint. A touch of blue acrylic to the cheeks and under the eyes, and it looked freakin good. Next, I went all out on the hands, white to highlight the finger bones all the way up to the wrists. In between that I blended a mottled purple which really made everything look gaunt and skeletal.
The funny thing was that I was working in a hot sweaty kitchen, so it really did a number on the hands. That worked to my advantage as the shaded areas looked even more like bruises and the cracked white, more like brittle bones.
The only thing I really could've used was Elmers All Purpose Glue, which is an excellent quick fix second skin for wounds and scabs. But this was fine since I went PG in case customers had little munchkins with them. Don't scare off the money.
I'll post a pic or two when I get the girls to send them.
I don't think I'll win the top prize that Management is putting out, but people seemed to get a kick out of it all the same.

Did that myself, quite proud of it if I'm honest.

Cheers. I had this genius idea of putting part of a padded, adhesive dressing on his skin, peeling it back on the padded part and colouring it with gore, to get that skin-peeling-off look. Doesn't look it in the photo, but it worked quite well. I might make the effort myself, next year, and get zombied up.

Ghost, your kid looked adorably ferocious.

Kaos, the cloak and mask looked badass. Nice hands, too--they actually help the whole thing a lot.

Nice Vato-look, MikeP!

Didn't dress up myself, but my son was Darth Vader. Next year I'll have to come up with a family costume theme and make sure we all dress up.

Kurt Russel's hair was NOT that long in Used Cars. Costume fail. :p

Actually....I got a good laugh out of that picture. The suit looks spot on from what I remember...

I wasn't willing to cut my hair for a costume. Which is a pain because virtually everything I wanted to be involved having shorter hair.

I'm glad you got a good laugh... I get a good laugh every time I see it. Especially when my girlfriend screams "EW!"
