Pandora's box has been opened regarding this subject and now there's really no way to go back.

Piracy is such a big problem you don't even hear about enforcement of the laws already on this books against it.

There's just too many people doing it.

There will never be any means to permanently ban pirating. If they come up with something new to prevent it, the other guys will just find another way around it. Their best option is to keep looking into releasing movies faster and cheaper.

Probably....but I was actually referring to releasing them faster after the theatrical run. That seems to be when most of the pirating happens. Some dolt gets his mits on a screener copy shortly after the theatrical run has started and before you know it, millions of people have the movie at home MONTHS before it's released on DVD.

They need to look into turning the films out quicker on DVD and particularly digital download. Actually....they've been testing the waters with the download thing, but I doubt it's looking good for them. Just do the digital AFTER its been in theaters for a few weeks. Not BEFORE. (looking at you, survival)
