i did, but these may have been the best. i posted them a few months ago here (http://forum.homepageofthedead.com/showthread.php?16787-First-Look-at-AMC-s-The-Walking-Dead-Zombies-as-Production-Begins&p=231645&viewfull=1#post231645) and here (http://forum.homepageofthedead.com/showthread.php?16787-First-Look-at-AMC-s-The-Walking-Dead-Zombies-as-Production-Begins&p=234938&viewfull=1#post234938).
It was tough to get in close - there were two ATL cops on each corner telling us "no pictures!" It was fun as hell going down though! :)

Awesome pics, Skold! I avoided this thread till I saw the episode in question, just in case. I forgot your AutoCAD map from one of your previous threads--classic gorilla fanboy action, sir! Way to get in those trenches and dig for info

Oh wowww skold... I was able to take as many pics as I wanted too when I went to the sets of movies here. The only thing they had blocks closed off so it was hard to get real good ones.
I love the pics you took ..you can actually tell where they were in the episode sunday night. :)

Thx for the kind words!
i live about 90 mins from ATL, so we made a weekend out of each shoot. It really comes full circle for me because, while i grew up in NY, my Grandma lived in (you guessed it) Monroeville PA. i spent every summer from age 4 to 13 with her, and she often times took me to the mall, dropped me off at the arcade or JC Penneys (which had a Ms Pac-Man machine!) while she went shopping. We ate at Brown Derby quite a few times. i skated on the rink many times (altho it was always open skate, and no hockey nets). Then, when i was 12, i saw Dawn. They were in *my* mall! My life changed.
So, it was a thrill of a lifetime to bring my family (including my 3-yer-old son Ash) to see this (and by "this" i mean the highest rated show in the history of cable!). Awesome beyond words. *beams* :)
